“This can’t happen to me”– a thought that comes to the mind after reading the news of some casualty. Every day thousands are dying in road accidents; trains derailing; planes crashing or people dying due to illness and if the accidents are not enough to bring ill fate then there are bombs, murders and rapes. We are living midst of all this; still believing – this can’t happen to me!
But when you see your dear ones dying of cancer or cardiac arrest or in a plane crash then you fear, “this can happen to me too!”
A very dear friend of mine lost her husband a few months ago and I was oblivious of her grief till two days back. I had not spoken or texted her since July last year; two days back felt a random urge to inquire about her well- being.
Couldn’t believe her non revertible lose. Wanted to hug her but she was continents away. Felt so helpless, she was all alone struggling to make life moving. Trying to fulfill the dreams of her twelve year old son when her own were crushed. No relative or friend by her side. How can I bring something positive or provide her a blessing? Tangled in my own responsibilities and limitations; my friend needs me but I cannot fly down to her.
What shall I do?
With all my conscious, pious self and collective energies I sent the positive vibes for her. With all the veracity and faith I prayed for her. I asked the universe to transfer a blessing from my karmic account into hers.
Life is unpredictable and anything can happen to anyone. A compassionate soul always wants to help the soul in need. We all are bound to our own liabilities and many a times can’t help financially or physically, in that case simply donate a blessing or pray with all the positivity and conviction; this is the least one can do to heal the grief in the universe. Without knowing the receiver of your blessing or the cause; just make this selfless donation.
If each one of us spare a simple blessing of feasting on your favourite meal or buying a bigger car or maybe enjoying a party then I’m sure we can collect ample blessings to send across to people in despair. Are we courageous enough to ask Him to deprive us from one simple blessing and bless someone else instead?
I urge whoever is reading this write- up; donate a blessing for the person who is in gloom. And you never know the blessing might come back to you in the time of need!
